One of the most influential and inspirational people in my life has been my Mum, Sandie. Not only has she had a passion for travelling for many years, but is a gifted photographer. Her love of wildlife and landscapes has influenced me greatly over the years, as a child I was a member of the Young Ornithologist Club which, among other things, involved sponsored bird watches across our beautiful Kent countryside, always encouraged and supported by my Mum. After lending me her camera with zoom lens a few years ago to capture a buzzard who regularly hunted over the fields behind our house, I too was hooked on photography and purchased my first ‘real’ camera, a Canon EOS 60D shortly after.
Her desire to photograph wildlife has taken her to some very interesting places including Japan, the Antarctic and Alaska. Now I want to share her travel stories and photography with you, I hope you enjoy her posts on this page as much as I do. Be Inspired!
